Jazz ve městě – mezinárodní jazzový open-air festival 2026

Jazz ve městě (Jazz In the City) celebrates its 20th edition.

This year’s festival is infused with strong female energy and an international flair the city of Frýdek-Místek has never experienced before. The highlight of Saturday’s program is French vocalist Camille Bertault, whose voice and improvisational talent will completely draw you in. A standout figure on the Czech jazz scene is pianist and composer Kristina Barta, whose playing is expressive, innovative, and full of original ideas that bring a fresh perspective to modern jazz.

The lineup also features the Libor Šmoldas Quartet with their project “Sorry, Miles,” paying tribute to Miles Davis, as well as the international duo Tour Guide Blonde (US/CZ). The festival kicks off on Friday with the Daniel Bulatkin International Quartet (CZ/US/FR), delivering modern, high-energy jazz, followed by a festival jam session led by the house band Jazz in a Can.

Each artist brings their own unique take on jazz, coming together to create a two-day celebration of music that lets you truly feel every note.
