We invite you to a unique evening of music and poetry marking the 55th anniversary of the death of singer, poet, and lead singer of The Doors, Jim Morrison. This event also follows up on the successful evening dedicated to Filip Topol held last June at the Unijazz Reading Room. Both of these icons have influenced and continue to inspire music fans across generations. Not to mention that The Doors, with their raw energy, were a significant inspiration for Filip Topol.
A mini-festival awaits you—one you won’t soon forget. A party filled with a blend of songs not only from the legendary The Doors and PVO, but the performers will also present their own repertoire. Riders On Fire (The Doors Tribute Band) led by the iconic Kladno guitarist and singer Michal Koberstein will be performing. Also appearing are the stars of the alternative scene, Furt Rovně, and you can look forward to other surprises as well. Also joining us will be singer-songwriter, visual artist, and writer Hana Stinka Lundiaková. The increasingly popular indie rock musician Jakub Eden, who is preparing his debut album this fall. PVO songs will be performed, among others, by musician, poet, and underground researcher Peter Markovský.
There will also be a poetry recital by authors influenced by both protagonists—poetry collector and lover of the color red Arthurka Višňová will read her verses, as will Aleš T. Rájský, steeped in the underground scene. Leslie Parker, accompanied by keyboardist Pablo Gómez, will remind us of black poetry as well as Filip’s verses. The poetry section will conclude with poet and promoter David Pillow, who will perform in a duo with Peter Markovský, who will sit at the piano.
