Matthew “Murph” Murphy - guitarist and lead singer of platinum-selling indie heroes The Wombats, returns to showcase new single ‘Slipping Away’. ‘Life Is A Killer’ is Murph’s truest album to date. As the songwriter navigates his way through balancing life as father of two and touring the world with The Wombats, he explores themes of self-reflection and managing family life throughout the album. Written over a span of two and half years in between London and LA, this is the most lyrically raw music Murph has ever released. With the help of producers Jacknife Lee (U2, The Killers, Snow Patrol) and Mark Crew (Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Lovejoy, Taylor Swift, Bastille), ‘Life Is A Killer’ pushes the boundaries of Murph’s sound and sonics.
