Pop singer/songwriter and producer Cian Ducrot first found a significant following on social media after an appearance on The Voice U.K. Quickly garnering hundreds of thousands of subscribers with his reflective, melodic relationship songs, he made his full-length recording debut with the self-released started in college (mixtape) in mid-2020. His major-label debut, "Not Usually Like This," arrived less than a year later and was followed by the EP Make Believe in 2021.  

Growing up in Cork, Ireland, Ducrot studied classical music, learning flute, guitar, ukulele, piano, saxophone, and drums by the time he left for college. When he was 18, he competed on the fifth season of The Voice U.K. (2016), though he was eliminated during the blind auditions. Ducrot expanded his TV fan base with a series of performances and vlogs on social media, sharing his first original songs in 2018. 

Having relocated to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music, he soon took a leave from school to finish his first album, a set of intimate pop songs that included his earliest releases. Titled started in college (mixtape), it saw release in July 2020. He made his major-label debut the following February with "Not Usually Like This" on Darkroom/Interscope Records.
